Pilot tradition · South Carolina

The SC Breakfast Club

Since 1938, South Carolina pilots have met for breakfast every other Sunday, each time at a different small airport around the state. The breakfast is simple and inexpensive, served around 9 a.m., and everyone is welcome, whether you fly in or drive in.

The host airport changes each time, so check the club’s schedule for the next date and location.

Draft for review.

Research-based selections from pilot reviews, aviation press and local listings, not personal-visit endorsements. Researched November 2, 2026. Airport restaurants open, close and change hours often. Call before you fly, and check runway, fuel, fees and parking in the Chart Supplement.

Flight times are straight-line estimates using your aircraft profile or 150 KTAS plus 15 minutes, with no wind. Use ForeFlight and current official aviation information for route, performance, weather, NOTAMs and preflight decisions. Flight planning and PIC responsibility stay with the pilot.
